BlueBubble is a minimal & elegant Wordpress portfolio theme. Much more is not to say... ;-) Let's start setting up your own site. It's quite easy.

Important: Make sure you have Wordpress 2.9 or higher installed! Otherwise the Portfolio Section will not work.

1. Setting Up The Theme

1.) Login to your Wordpress admin page and activate BlueBubble Theme.

2.) Create a new page (ex. Home) and choose "Portfolio" as the site template.
3.) Create another new page (ex. Blog) and choose "Blog" as the site template.
4.) Navigate to the Settings -> Reading page and choose Home (Portfolio Template) as the Front page and Blog as the Posts page.

5.) Go to the Wordpress Media Library and upload your Logo. Copy the full path of your uploaded logo to the clipboard.

6.) Navigate to the BlueBubble Theme Options. Paste the logo path in the field and click "Save changes". That's it. Your logo should now be active.
You can also easily enable or disable comments on portfolio items, just set a mark. fill also in the Portfolio category and the Blog category. don't wonder when nothing shows up now on your site! ;) this comes in the next step.

7.) Go to "Categories" an create two categories equal to the step before! In my example "Portfolio" and "Blog".

Change the text on the sidebar
1.) This theme comes with two sidebars. The "standard" sidebar is displayed on the frontpage and on all static pages. The "blog" sidebar os displayed on the blog... Go to the widgets site and add a text- or any other widget to the Sidebars. The standard text will be overwritten.

Change E-Mail Form settings
1.) Got to the theme folder BlueBubble -> scripts -> mail.php. Just change the two variables: "$recip" and "$from_header" to your settings! :). That's it.

2. Use The Theme

Add a new project
1.) Navigate to the "Add Post Site" from Wordpress.

2.) Add a title and write some information about your project.

3.) On the bottom right side you have a section "Post Thumbnail". Click on add thumbnail and upload your image. Make sure to save it as thumbnail!

4.) Don't forget to set the portfolio item in the right category named "portfolio" or when it is a normal blog post add the "blog" category to the post. the project and/or blog will not appear when you forget to set the category!

5.) You are done know. Click "Publish" and visit your website and see your first project.
